This app is particularly beneficial for those vulnerable to fungal spores, known for triggering allergies such as allergic conjunctivitis, allergic rhinitis, atopic dermatitis/eczema, hives, and asthma.

The application facilitates the correlation between local fungal counts and personal allergy and asthma reactions. Users can access real-time pollen and fungal spore levels in San Juan, PR, through the TOTAAL app. Developed by Dr. Benjamin Bolaños, the Director and founder of the San Juan AAAAI Station at the Medical Sciences Campus of the University of Puerto Rico, this platform is backed by his extensive expertise as an Associate Professor of the Department of Microbiology at the Medical Sciences Campus.

Dr. Bolaños has been actively engaged in clinical research investigating the impact of fungal spores as allergens, along with the purification of tropical fungal allergens.
